Želary

Zuzana Lapčíková, Hana Litterová

About Play

Želary is a story about love and the fatal clash of two different worlds, two different cultures. It is a story about a special relationship of fear, mistrust, but also love bonded by a common effort to survive.

Želary is a story from the Second World War about the life of people in a high-mountain village, a godforsaken place where people can be kind to each other, but also cruel, just like the surrounding nature. The production will be given its world premiere in a new adapted version of the libretto by Zuzana Lapčíková (music and vocals) and Hana Litterová (choreography). Dominika Lippertová will be in charge of the set and costumes.

With participation of the Moravian Theatre Olomouc orchestra.
