The story of a young woman, a student named Anežka, whose current life belongs to her family and friends, but not to her. She tries to help all those in need and keep the promises she made to them. She wishes for good and peaceful relations with her family and her partner, even at the cost of compromises herself, including avoiding potential conflicts.
However, she does not realise, that this imaginary calm is the calm before the storm that must come sooner or later. Thus, over the course of a year, Anežka experiences seemingly ordinary moments with those closest to her. Eventually, problems gradually pile up.
Beata Parkanová is the author and director of the story about a girl who tries to get along with everyone but loses the most important thing, herself. This FAMU graduate first turned to writing, initially targeting mainly children's readers. Subsequently, she also gave screenwriting a try to make her screenwriting-directing debut, the film Moments, in 2018. She casted Jenovéfa Boková in the lead role, who won both the Czech Lion and the Czech Film Critics Award for her performance. The film as such was screened at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival and now it is going to be premiered in a theatrical adaptation directed by the author herself.
