About Play

The story of two musicians on the run, gangsters and millionaires. On Valentine's Day 1929, two musicians, Joe and Jerry, get in the way of gangsters and have to make a quick getaway. Disguised as female musicians, they head to Florida to play with a female band to hide from the Mafia.

In the band they meet with a glamorous singer and ukulele player named Sugar, with whom the two men in women's clothes fall head over heels.

The world-famous musical, based on the screenplay for Some Like It Hot, premiered in 1972. The immortal comedy full of humour is a popular title on Czech and foreign stages. At the Moravian Theatre Olomouc, the musical Sugar will be performed after ten years directed by Mark David.
